Back in 2006 my son Ryan, was deployed to Afghanistan. Being a vocalist/songwriter, I dealt with his deployment in the only way I could to keep my head together (besides the support of my husband and family of course) by writing a song called "A Soldiers Mom". Ryan took the song with him finding comfort in its message whenever he played it and actually played it for other soldiers too. I was encouraged to share the song because of the message and while I've been told once that its a rather bitter-sweet message, I overwhelmingly have been told that the song is moving in a good way. Ryan is back home now and will be deployed again this year to Kuwait. Not sure if I have another song in me but if I do, I'll be sharing.

So I found this site and thought that this would be another good place to share "A Soldiers Mom". I hope you listen, that it moves you too, and feel free to share it with other military families if you're so moved to do so. God bless you, God bless our troops, and God bless America.

Love it!! Thank you so much for posting this beautiful song on the site!
What positive things did you do while your son was deployed that gave you the "strength" you sing about in this song??

What an awesome song. I would have shared it with my soldiers too. Please tell Ryan thank you. Tell him thank you from the bottom of our hearts for his dedication and service to our country. God Bless all military families for their selfless service to protect our freedom and defend our country! Listening to this song makes me so proud.
